What is Drip Ratio?
Drip Ratio is a free, mobile-first app that stores your coffee recipes and instantly recalculates every ingredient when you change the number of servings. It keeps your coffee-to-water ratio consistent so your brew tastes the same every time.
Is Drip Ratio free to use?
Yes. Creating an account, saving recipes, scaling servings, and reading every guide and recipe on this site are all free. There is an optional one-time premium upgrade that removes ads, but the core app is free.
What is a coffee-to-water ratio?
It is the weight of coffee compared to the weight of water — written like 1:16, meaning one gram of coffee for every sixteen grams of water. It is the single biggest factor in how your coffee tastes.

Do I need a scale to use Drip Ratio?
A small kitchen scale will dramatically improve consistency because it measures by weight rather than unreliable scoops. That said, you can store recipes in any unit you like — grams, milliliters, cups, or tablespoons — and Drip Ratio will scale them all proportionally.
Which brewing methods does it work with?
Any of them. Drip Ratio is method-agnostic — pour-over, French press, AeroPress, espresso, moka pot, cold brew, Keurig and Nespresso pods, drip machines, percolators, and more. You define the ingredients and amounts, and the app handles the scaling.
Can I organize recipes by coffee machine?
Yes. Every recipe belongs to a machine — Keurig, Nespresso Original or Vertuo, drip, espresso, French press, AeroPress, pour-over, moka pot, cold brew, or percolator. When you sign up you pick your primary machine, you can add as many machines as you own, and you can filter your vault to show only the recipes for a given machine. Older recipes without a machine still appear under All.
Can I share my recipes with friends?
Yes. Every recipe can be shared with a link to WhatsApp, X/Twitter, Facebook, or copied directly. Your friends see the exact recipe with all the amounts included.
Does Drip Ratio track my ingredients?
It can. The optional pantry feature keeps track of how much coffee, milk, and other ingredients you have, and deducts the scaled amounts each time you brew — so you know what you have before you run out.
